As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth running of your store, the development and ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Meet sales targets and achieve profitability by controlling costs (labour, supplies, inventory etc.). • Attend a Kindergarten Teacher conference at least once per year.
• Help children in developing good habits including that of personal hygiene.
• Help maintain a neat and clean classroom.
• Must be capable of lifting a weight of up to 40 pounds, climb stairs and be able to bend and stretch.
• Review material taught by the teacher and tutor individual children or groups.
• Reinforce the concepts taught by the teacher and provide students with additional opportunities to learn and master the material.
• Responsible for teaching least one lesson per day.
• A firm commitment as a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
• The ability to work effectively with staff.
• Documented ability to work legally in Canada.
• A thorough knowledge of their discipline(s).

Description: This is a call to any professional High School Humanities educator who is looking for the opportunity to educate young minds in English and Social Studies within a Seventh-day Adventist Christian framework. Sandy Lake Academy is situated on 50 acres of lakefront property in the Halifax Regional Municipality, with historic Peggy’s cove and the lush Annapolis valley both under an hour’s drive away. This full-time position will primarily cover English and Social Studies at the grade 7-12 level; selected elective courses will round-out the teaching load. Instruction will be geared toward (a) preparing students for higher education and vocation, and (b) instilling within them a sense of God’s goodness and the nature of humanity through history and the written word.
