Description: Red River Valley Junior Academy (RRVJA) anticipates openings for half time (0.5-time) Music/Band Teacher. Candidate needs the energy, dedication, and understanding to teach and inspire students to choose Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Candidates should be strong in teaching a combination of either French and Physical Education/Health and also have proficiency with technology, experience with working with people from a wide range of ethnic diversities, and the flexibility and collaboration skills needed as a team player – willing to support and assist faculty and administration alike.
RRVJA is the largest school in the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference and is located in Winnipeg, MB. Nearly 100 years old, RRVJA is a K-10 school with plans for expanding to Grade 11/12 for the 2019-2020 school year. The school is provincially funded, supported by 8 constituent churches, and boast supportive working conditions.

- Is a Seventh-day Adventist

Job Title: Full Time Chaplain position - 1 year Term

Description: JOB SUMMARY: The School Chaplain will advance the Spiritual Master Plan of RRVJA by providing support to students, staff and parents. The candidate will serve as part of the school’s pastoral care team, planning, organizing and implementing a range of curricular and extra-curricular activities, events and projects, to advance the spiritual mission and community engagement strategy of the school. The incumbents ability to relate to & engage children/youth.

Nurture in pastoral care
Supervisory Responsibilities of Students/Minors

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a Seventh-day Adventist that models Christianity and upholds the faith/values of the SDA Church; • Experience in providing spiritual counselling, theology, religious studies, psychology, or social work • Experience working with children/youth in a school and or camp setting preferred Education Requirements: • Bachelor of Arts (Religious Studies) or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) ideal but not mandatory; must have a valid Canadian Work Permit or is a permanent resident that has the ability to work in Canada.

COMPENSATION: • Monthly Gross Salary $4440.00 (Based on a 10- month contract)
HOUSING/LODGING: • RRVJA may be able to assist incumbent with finding subsidized housing.
