Job Title: Teacher's Assistant

Description: Adventist Christian Elementary School is seeking a dynamic, creative Christ-like individual to work as a Teaching Assistant for the 2020-2021 school year. This individual must provide care and guidance to children under the guidance of the teacher. This individual must love working with children and engage them in activities to stimulate and develop their spiritual, intellectual, physical and emotional growth. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the implementation of daily program/activities of the Lead Teacher.
• Assist in recess and classroom supervision in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
• Assist in preparing a suitable learning environment for children, supplying them with necessary materials, stationery, etc. and setting up.
• Help children in developing good habits including that of personal hygiene.
• Help maintain a neat and clean classroom.
• Must be capable of lifting a weight of up to 40 pounds, climb stairs and be able to bend and stretch.
• Review material taught by the teacher and tutor individual children or groups.
• Reinforce the concepts taught by the teacher and provide students with additional opportunities to learn and master the material.
• Responsible for teaching at least one lesson per day.
