• Giving an array of assignments in various areas (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drawing, and Google Slides).
• Must be comfortable with Mac and PC as well as Google Chrome and using Chromebooks and iPads.
• Computer class taught one class per week to Grade 4.
• The French curriculum is Grades 5 and 6 French using the AIM French program. Additional knowledge of French is a must if there is unfamiliarity with the AIM French program.

Job Title: Assistant Superintendent of Schools

Description: The Ontario Conference is seeking an Assistant Superintendent of Schools. The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the administrative and supervisory functions of the K-12 Educational program for all constituent schools.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the usage of approved textbooks that are being used in the schools.
• Work closely with the Superintendent to assess the curriculum needs of the schools and to develop appropriate strategies.
• Organizes and conducts evaluations of teachers followed by reports and recommendations.
• Remain current with all Ontario Ministry of Education reporting requirements and assist school administrators or designates to learn how to complete the reports when necessary.
• Represent, along with the Superintendent, the Ontario Conference Office of Education at school board and constituency meetings to provide guidance when needed.
• Serves as chair of the technology committee and educational technology leader for the Conference schools.
Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree in Education or a Bachelor of Education (BEd), 10 years of experience as a teacher, and five years of experience as principal.
2. Have a Professional Denominational Credential with endorsement in elementary and secondary education, and an Ontario College of Teachers teaching certificate or equivalent is recommended.
3. Must have a successful teaching experience in both elementary and secondary schools.
4. Knowledge and skills in educational technology.
5. Knowledgeable in curriculum, supervision, and school administration
6. Additional qualifications in special education would be helpful
7. Must be able to legally work in Canada.
